Coaching as a Profession

In the world of Coaching, numerous "disciplines" have evolved.

Niches have been defined in the domain of personal development including "life coaching", "personal coaching", and specialists in "relationship", "love", "spirituality" and the like.

In the business domain, coaches - and sometimes authors or trainers that simply call themselves coaches - have managed to carve identities in more concrete terms such as "marketing", "business planning", "profitability", "internet traffic generation" and literally hundreds of others.

In our opinion, all coaching is good.  But at PrimeFocus we endeavor to differentiate "personal achievement" from "personal development" and apply that distinction to business success.

At PrimeFocus, we call this domain of coaching "Achievement Coaching".

Coaching impacts a business's success only to the degree that individuals inside the business achieve.  Though personal development is a by-product of good coaching, Achievement Coaching focuses on the individuals inside the business becoming more effective at producing measurable results.

In the business world, for coaching to be considered a valued resource it must focus on the mastering of competencies that, in turn, impact business change and ultimate results. Coaching must put action at the centerpiece - not conversation.

With that at our starting point, only the sky's the limit.

At PrimeFocus Coaching, we are not only building a world-class team of coaches, but we are building world-class coaches.

How we work

As a PrimeFocus affiliated coach, you retain your own identity in the marketplace, but also have an association with a team of like-minded, growth-hungry professionals.

After your orientation to our programs, services, philosophies and core values you are included in our client assignment rotation.  As PrimeFocus acquires new individual clients - and as we are hired to bring in coach teams to corporate engagements - your background, availability and readiness is reviewed for client assignment. 

Once you are engaged with a PrimeFocus client, you participate in regular collaboration and "mind-share" calls with other PrimeFocus coaches where we compare notes, inspire new thinking and define solutions for producing unmatched results with our clients.

PrimeFocus handles all client transactions and pays you coaching fees as we get paid by the client - on time.  The fee structure varies according to the type of client engagement, but you will always know in advance of client assignment.

Our goal is to provide enough client flow to fill each coach's practice and assure your personal income matches your extraordinary value to the marketplace.

What we look for

Our criteria for coaches is simple but tough.  You must be a certified, full time business-focused coach; have personally produced results in business outside of coaching; be completely open (even eager) to follow a predefined coaching methodology; and visibly on your own path of continuous improvement.

How you get in

Our coach election process involves an interview with PrimeFocus Founder, Steve Dailey; a series of interviews with peer coaches; a preparation program and a commitment to a minimum number of hours of availability.
